Bridge to Terabithia?), but my favourites from childhood are the Sherlock Holmes stories, The Hobbit, and the LOTR... so, I really like books....

  • Favorite Movies: All these categories depend on mood, but.... Annie Hall, Take the Money and Run, The Blues Brothers, Hot Fuzz, UHF, Rent, LOTR, Shrek (first one only, tho' the second was good), That Thing You Do!, Flags of Our Fathers, Donnie Darko, Office Space, Grosse Pointe Blank, I'm Gonna Git You Sucka.... Of recently released movies (and I've seen many lately): Up, Star Trek, Wall-E, Kung Fu Panda.
  • Favorite Actors: Woody Allen, Dan Aykroyd, Al Pacino, John Cusack, Kenneth Branagh, Hugh Laurie, Hugh Jackman, Emma Thompson, Kate Winslet (other than the "Titanic" debacle, I've liked the roles I've seen her in)
  • Favorite Directors: Woody Allen. Otherwise I pay fairly little attention to directors. Though Clint Eastwood did a great job on "Flags of Our Fathers" and I've been wanting to see "Letters from Iwo Jima" as a result. And Tom Hanks I guess.
  • Favorite Soundtracks: Rent, Across the Universe

Television

  • Favorite Shows: My TV is not hooked up to any service; I stopped because I resent and reject the idea that Congress was busy with the stupid digital switch while all hell was breaking loose. But when I did watch: The Simpsons, Gilmore Girls, M*A*S*H, South Park. As for TV miniseries: Band of Brothers.
  • Favorite Channels: PBS
  • Most Addictive Show: Gilmore Girls
  • Favorite Episode: The two South Park episodes making fun of Family Guy.
  • Show I Secretly Watch: "Secretly" no more, huh? That would be What Not To Wear.

Food

  • Favorite Cuisine: American (with all its bastardized forms of other nations' foods), Italian, Korean
  • Favorite Dishes: pastas (with much garlic and basil), chicken bulgogi, Dominican rice and beans
  • Favorite Desserts: chocolate, in many forms, and usually the darker the better
  • Favorite Drinks: milk, juice, mojitos
  • Favorite Junk Foods: Doritos, doughnuts... which I don't eat nearly so much these days.... oh, and pepperoni/meat pizza
  • Foods I hate: meat loaf, cooked spinach, sloppy joes... potato salad, ham salad, chicken salad, egg salad (any salad that doesn't have greenery as the primary ingredient)

Style

  • I like to wear: Jeans, tank tops, sneakers. Long sleeves. Autumn-wear. Jackets. Walking shorts. Athletic clothes. Casual.
  • Prized Possessions: A coconut necklace I got in the Dominican Republic.
