Ugh!  I feel your pain.  Sounds like you could use a vacay.  Good luck getting it all sorted out

@ccarothers - Thank you. Right at the time when I need to turn up the intensity and work harder than I have been, that's when the shut-down desire is greatest, huh? If only I'd been thinking about this months ago, I wouldn't have so much to do now. I'm getting afraid I won't make it, and it'll be another year of waiting, spinning my wheels.

@TheCheshireGrins - Thanks.

@ThisisMine4595 - Thank you.

been thinking language/rhetoric programs, 'cause I don't want to do the standard literature program, but also don't want one that's focused on just composition with rhetoric (as teaching composition is not my dream either)... Washington U. in Seattle, Indiana U. in Bloomington, and Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburgh (go, Steelers!) are the current picks in those areas.

But, I just realized that what I'm looking for is more a blend of English and anthropology (Why didn't I recognize this sooner? D'oh! *deep breaths*). So, looked at a couple anthropology programs today, linguistic or social-cultural.

@complicatedlight - Yah, that's what I meant.  I've never been to Seattle, but I've been told by several people I'd like it/fit in/do well there.

@darkarin88 - Thanks  I'm looking at English and anthropology programs (preferring programs that blend the two a little bit), and my top considerations so far are--in no particular order--U of Washington (Seattle), Indiana University (Bloomington), and Carnegie Mellon (Pittsburgh).

@complicatedlight - Thanks, Bear. I think I had enough of a big stop this weekend that I'm ready to go again.
